Peace be with you! Welcome to our Catholic Schools Department web site. The very address of this web site aligns to the three global learning standards of our K-8 religion curriculum: “See, Celebrate and Live.” You can find these global learning standards as well as the ten components for each standard under our RELIGION tab on this web page.
Yet we purposely titled our web page “See, Celebrate and Live,” because these global learning standards are also to be pushed out across all areas of student learning. You can already see that we have many links to a variety of web based resources that we all hope will enrich your home, your classroom and your parish. Down the road, all of us at the Catholic Schools Department are hoping that you will begin to post your best practices of how you “See, Celebrate and Live” the faith of the Church.
The launch of this site represents many hours and much creativity from so many here in the Catholic Schools Department as well as our colleagues in the Fulcrum Foundation. Most of all, this web site represents the unflagging support of Archbishop Brunett for the 73 Catholic schools all across Western Washington. I hope this newest tool will draw you closer to Jesus Christ and enrich you to “see, celebrate and live” the Catholic faith as a source and sign for all those whose lives you touch.
